Soo, I saw your guild thingy on Aionsource (having scanned the first couple of pages for the word 'casual') and I think that come release I might be pestering you for an invite for me and my girlfriend.
I think it's customary to try and sell yourself (metaphorically) at this point, so some stuff about us:
I'm 30 and English. My girlfriend is 30... something... and Danish. We live in Denmark (99% of British or Irish males in Denmark were lured over here by a girl, fact.) Like all respectable geek couples we met online (in SWG in fact, I was a rogueish rebel commando and she part of the leadership of the server's top Imperial guild. It was incredibly romantic in an unbearably nerdish way.) We've been playing WoW for the last few years, but we're pretty casual at that too.
We like guildchat more than we like raiding and stuff. We're moderately competant players and do enjoy doing dungeons and group quests etc, but an active guildchat is more important to us than buckling under the weight of sacks full of awesome loot. That said, we've seen our fair share of raids and stuff.
We're happy to use Ventrillo. My girlfriend has been known to sing over comms, usually that 'sit on my face' Monthy Python song, but I'm guessing it would take a little while to coax that out of her.
As far as classes go.. i'll probably play a Templar or Cleric, because I get anxiety issues while levelling a DPS that nobody will ever want/need me in a group. Also, I like bitching about DPSers to other tanks and healers. I had the odd moment of controvesy in WoW where I'd intentionally let a gnome die instead of healing them, but I think that was a proper moral decision and I stand by it.
I really don't like gnomes.
Interesting fact: I managed to fail the simple maths test to register on this forum. I think it was 7 + 5. It was early though.
Sooo... yeah, hadn't really thought past this point. Hope this application has left the vague impression that our prescense will be tolerable.

Right yeah... the singing thing. 'Good' singing isn't a requirement right? Because we're not able to offer a fine operatic tenor/soprano duet.
She does most of the signing. I think I screeched my way through Adam Sandler's "Medium Pace" once, but this was when I'd come home from a night out...

My fiance and I sung REO Speedwagon's "Keep on loving you" on vent the other night, it was a beautiful moment for everyone involved. We actually met on WoW 4 1/2 years ago, so nerd couples are absolutely welcome here (and I mean that as a compliment :P) Still have to convince him to join us in Aion though.
I played a healer because like you I don't like the competition in DPS, and I have been known to let a few people die in my time when they delierately overaggro :P I intend to play a cleric in release but I might be persuaded otherwise if there's a lot of clerics already. But anyway I'm rambling, welcome!

Ah lovely :D
I was gonna look one of you up for a chat and maybe an invite tonight (yeah, I'm in beta and loving it!) ... but the Mesramtaeda server is a mythical beast that I could not hunt down!

Someone cut it off and let it sink.. I think we're gonna be playing on Gorgos on release now (Dunno, Rach?) I'm really just along for the ride and to talk about rude things in guild (Legion?!) chat.. so I don't know anything.

We're playing OB on Telemachus, and not very often in all honesty. Just got to level 10 and haven't bothered to make a legion, or really do anything at all, since I've done it all so many times in CBs and I just can't bring myself to pour my heart and soul into characters that are going to be deleted again! I will be playing tomorrow though, my character name is Navaar.
We had to change from Mesramtaeda because they changed the server names on us last minute :( We're playing release on Gorgos now.

Gorgos eh? I'll remember that.
In all honesty I might not be about until just after launch anyway. I'm away for business for two weeks from Sunday, and while I will technically have a laptop that can play Aion nicely, and an internet connection, I'm not counting on it going smoothly.
Either way I'll be in touch as and when it's convenient.
Ooooh yeah, and after making my post here today I got bored and beat many of your high scores in the games section \0/
